Production
and revenue.
Revenue
By
Trevor Barclay
The summer is almost gone (sigh) yet it seems there has
been no slow down. The revenue group has continued to be busy
throughout. We’re continuing to expand our electronic invoicing
initiative and will be adding another customer in mid-late
September.
Devon
Canada
has jumped on
board with Digital Oilfield’s open invoice. This is another big
step for us as
Devon
has been in our
top 20 sales for a number of years. We remain at an average approval
rate of 20 days for our e-invoicing which is far better than the
industry standard. Technology continues to drive this format, and we
will continue to see more and more top 20 customers getting online.
To this date we have 833 active customers which is an
increase from 784 since
January 1, 2005
. Thanks to all
our administrators who continue to do a great job out on the front
line for us. Keep up the great work.

As in revenue the fun never ends. It has been a busy summer with
lots of action on all fronts. Somehow we have all managed a little
vacation time though there didn’t seem to be much summer weather
to spread around. Each production accountant is working to grow in
their respective roles with Dave continuing to specialize in
pipeline equalization, Ern in BC reporting, Donna as the landfill
liaison as well as the BAS guru and our team leader and Alicia in
expanding her knowledge in the financial and energy marketing
liaison roles. This, combined with the continuing growth of the
company including adding new TRD’s and landfills as well as
keeping up with reporting requirements and changes, is keeping us
all pretty busy. As always, it wouldn’t be possible without the
continued support and ever necessary communication from the field.
Thanks to all for your efforts.
Plant 37 update
By
Todd Baumgartner
As
many of you are aware there has been a major change in the operation
status at plant 37. As of
June 1, 2005
, Plains has taken
over operating the rail facility. Plains & CCS have entered into
an agreement where the facility will be leased to Plains for a
period of five years. There is a three month transition period which
ends
August 31, 2005
.
Three
CCS operators have stayed with the facility and are now working for
Plains. They include Dean McLean, Tim Abel & John Anderson. We
wish them all the best in their new venture with Plains. Ken
Lawrence transferred to plant four at Coronation and is going to be
a welcome addition to Vinny’s team.
As
for myself . . . I will continue to work out of my office at plant
37 overseeing our interests in the Hardisty Caverns venture. Along
with those duties I will also be working with Greg MacPhee doing
some field safety. This will include traveling to the facilities,
auditing for health & safety compliance, ensuring consistency,
auditing construction safety and reviewing emergency response plans
etc.
I
am looking forward to this new portfolio and meeting you at your
facilities.
