CCS goes undefeated at the Westside Men’s Hockey Tournament

By Corey Higham, senior environment and regulatory planner-CCS Energy Services

It is with great pleasure that we pass on the news that a contingent from CCS Calgary entered and was victorious at the third annual Men’s Westside Hockey Tournament. The team chemistry was bang on right from the beginning. CCS went undefeated in five hard fought games and would like to thank the Westside Warriors, FOG, Conoco and Brennan for their sportsmanship and hard work. Each team proved to be a worthy opponent and we all have bumps and bruises to prove it. After the decisive CCS tournament win, CCS team reporters caught up with Westside Warriors captain and tournament organizer, Greg Tarnowski.  “CCS played some of the best hockey this tournament has ever seen,” said Tarnowski.  “CCS used finesse, skill and some old fashioned hard work to dominate the tournament like no other team in tournament history. Their cohesive play was like poetry in motion.”  Tarnowski further added, “I may decide to play with CCS next year if they’ll have me.”  Sorry Greg, your hard checking style of play does not fit with the CCS team’s passive systems. If you do not tone down your checking ways, we’ll have to send Nick over to “talk” to you. Just kidding Greg, you'll always be a part of the team!

Always remember, forecheck, backcheck, PAYCHECK, and if you don’t, two words . . .Inglewood jack!

Kindersley update

Things have been very slow here since the road bans started on March 21, but word has it the bans will be off on April 24. The comments that we have been receiving from the producers and trucking companies is that we will be in for a very busy summer with drilling and refracs. Our 4" suction lines from our produced water tank and mud tanks to the injection pump have been replaced with a 6" line to eliminate some of our pump repair costs. Our plant turn around will be completed by the end of April and will be ready for the busy summer!
